A head-on crash on Route 209 in Hamilton Township killed two Monroe County men early Sunday, Oct. 25, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Alexander Ntoas, 24, of Stroudsburg, died at the scene. Jaylan Henry, 27, of Blakeslee, was pronounced dead while being transported to Saint Lukes Anderson Hospital.

The collision happened just before 6:30 a.m. near Beaver Valley Road. Henry was driving south on Route 209 when his vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck Ntoas' vehicle in the front driver's side area, according to the Pocono Record, citing state police.

Both vehicles spun out after the impact. Henry's car came to rest partially on an uphill embankment and the right shoulder. Ntoas' car rotated and came to rest against the guardrail on the northbound side, as first reported by WNEP.

Ntoas was partially ejected inside his vehicle, according to the Pocono Record.

State police shut down Route 209 between Hickory Valley Road and Beaver Valley Road for an extended period while investigators worked the scene. Trooper Peter Gutowski led the investigation, according to WNEP.

The Blue Ridge Fire Department, Suburban EMS, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Karl's Towing & Auto Repair and the Monroe County Coroner all responded to the scene.
